Player data, safeguarding and consent

Recruitment data is personal data, and a large share of it belongs to children. Handling it properly is a legal obligation and a safeguarding one — and it is a fair question to ask of any platform before you upload anything.

Minors require verified guardian consent

An under-18 profile should not be visible to anyone until a guardian has confirmed it. On SCOUTVERSE that confirmation happens by email and gates publication — the profile simply does not appear until it is granted.

Access control, not open publication

Full profile data, valuations, footage and contact routes should sit behind an entitlement check rather than a public URL. Player media on SCOUTVERSE is stored privately and served through short-lived signed links generated per request, so nothing paywalled can be shared as a permanent public link.

What players should expect to control

Which fields are published, the ability to withdraw a profile, and a clear route to delete their data.

What clubs should ask any platform

Where is the data stored, who can read it, how is minor consent verified, and what happens to a profile after a player withdraws?

If those questions do not have short, specific answers, that is the answer.

Next step

Clubs and scouts can search the full index with valuations, attributes and footage. Players list themselves free.
