Make your data complete before your highlights
Recruitment staff filter before they watch. Position, secondary positions, age, nationality, current club, league, preferred foot, height and contract status are the fields that decide whether you appear in a search at all.
An incomplete profile is invisible to a filtered search even if the footage behind it is excellent. On SCOUTVERSE, players list themselves free — completing every field costs nothing and is the single highest-return action available to you.
Footage: full matches beat highlight reels
A highlight reel proves you can do a thing once. Scouts want to know what you do in the ninety minutes between the highlights — your positioning without the ball, your reaction after losing it, your body shape when receiving under pressure.
Submit both: a short reel for the first thirty seconds of attention, and at least one full match or long unedited clip for the person who is now interested.
Show the camera angle that lets a viewer see the space around you. A tight follow-cam on the ball hides everything a scout is trying to assess.
Write your own pitch
Describe your function, not your ambition. 'Left-footed inverted right-back, comfortable stepping into midfield in build-up, strongest one-v-one defending on the touchline' tells a recruiter more than any adjective.
Be explicit about availability: are you out of contract, open to trial, willing to relocate, and do you hold a passport that simplifies work permits? These are the questions that end conversations when they are answered late.
Under 18? Consent comes first
Any profile for a minor must carry verified guardian consent before it is visible. This is a safeguarding requirement, not paperwork — SCOUTVERSE will not publish an under-18 profile until a guardian has confirmed it by email.
Keep the profile alive
A profile last updated eighteen months ago reads as a player who has stopped playing. Update your club, your minutes and your footage each season, and refresh your availability the moment your contract situation changes.
